★ Sterling Silver Maintenance Tips & Tricks:

Genuine Sterling Silver is meant to tarnish after is stored in a box or an enclosed space, for a while, or if your body has an acid pH, this could also cause the Sterling Silver jewellery to tarnish quicker than usual.

This happens because Genuine Sterling Silver, in it’s natural state, is black on the outside and silver on the inside. We see it so shiny because it’s been polished and processed to get to this final form, but nature always follows it’s course.

Here’s one of the most efficient tricks to get your Sterling Silver jewellery untarnished, inexpensively and quickly:

1. Take a recipient like a plastic bowl or any other bowl.
2. Rip some tin foil to cover the bowl’s inside and fold it over to the edge of it, to secure it in place.
3. Boil some water in the kettle or on the hob (around 1 cup should be sufficient).
4. Pour the hot water into the bowl, over the jewellery.
5. In that water add 2-3 tablespoons of Baking Soda (Baking Powder) and gently stir it to get dissolved. It will start bubbling, which is a good sign.
6. Set the mixture aside for 5 – 10 minutes.
7. Remove the jewellery out of the recipient and rinse them well with cold water, then dry them with a paper towel or any other absorbant cloth.
8. After that, gently wipe the jewellery with the polish cloth included in the package when you ordered the jewellery from us, and watch the magic happen! Your Sterling Silver jewellery should now be nice and shiny as new! Repeat the process whenever needed!
